Note: BMI is not an accurate calculator for bodybuilders whose mass is high due to muscle and not fat.

Glycemic ranking of how the foods we eat affect our blood sugar levels in the 2 or 3 hours after eating.

Stick to Medium and Low glycemic index foods. This will help regulate insulin levels in your blood; Increased insulin levels lead to fat storage and weight gain. "In a subcohort of obese adults, suppression of insulin secretion was associated with loss of body weight and fat mass and with concomitant modulation of caloric intake and macronutrient preference"(Ref:https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1490021/).

 

Sticking to a glycemic index food list of medium to low, paired with moderate to vigorous exercise a minimum of 150 minutes per week will increase insulin sensitivity thus improving metabolic health which affects (blood glucose, and heart health including hypertension and brain health).
